Mel Martinez (R), along with 18 additional members of the Florida congressional delegation, sent a letter to Orbital Sciences Corporation urging them to locate their facilities for the Commercial Orbital Transportation Project at Cape Canaveral in Florida.

SpaceX Breaks Ground at Cape Canaveral's Space Launch Complex 40
Space Exploration Technologies Corp. (SpaceX ) held official ground breaking ceremonies today at Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, opening a new era in commercial space operations.
