Proposal Submission, Selection Process, and Award Information
Only full proposals will be considered for review.
Proposal Submission
Electronic submission process is required for all proposals.
Proposal requests for FY 2008-2009 funding begins July 1, 2008.
Proposal document must include:
- Date
- Title
- Purpose
- Summary
- Background and significance
- Budget
- Project Plan
- How the scope of the work will meet Florida's space industry goals
- Deliverable description and timeline
- What is required of Space Florida
- Identification of other funding requests and/or in-kind support
Selection Process
Proposals will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
- Does the proposal address space industry education/research and development/workforce needs
- Qualifications of the PI and other key team members
- Could the scope of work be duplicated and spread throughout the State as best practices
- Does this proposal partner with the government agencies, universities and colleges or private organizations
- Soundness of the proposed budget
- Is this a realistic work plan and schedule
Selected proposals will be submitted to the Board of Directors for final approval.
Award Information
- Funding will be governed by agreements or contracts between the Primary Investigator and SPACE FLORIDA.
