Florida Venture Forum, Florida’s largest statewide support organization for investors and entrepreneurs, is pleased to announce it has selected 17 companies to present at its EmergingTech Showcase, being held at the GuideWell Innovation Center at Lake Nona on May 20, 2022.
Ben Patz, Co-founder and Managing Partner with DeepWork Capital and EmergingTech Showcase Selection Committee Chair said, “One of the true joys of being in venture capital, is to see truly innovative technologies that promise a different, better world from the current one. The principal challenge is down-selecting from a set of amazing companies that cover a wide array of emerging technologies. I want to thank all companies that applied and all those that spent many hours reviewing the applications to come up with this impressive group of presenting companies.”
Kevin Burgoyne, President and CEO of the Florida Venture Forum said, “Congratulations to the companies selected for this year’s showcase, and to all of those who applied. The quality of our applicants was unprecedentedly high and our selection committee did an amazing job reviewing and choosing the final presenters. We welcome them to the Forum, and look forward to seeing them present on May 20th.”
This year’s selected group of presenters include companies from throughout the State of Florida and beyond, representing multiple industries and technologies. Presenting companies were selected by a committee of active venture capital investors.
Presenting companies will also have the opportunity to compete for the Space Florida’s Accelerating Innovation (AI) awards, totaling $100,000.
Online registration is still open for those that have not registered. Also, a few remaining sponsorships are still available.
