Space Florida Congratulates Blue Origin on Selection as NASA Lunar Lander Partner

EXPLORATION PARK, Fla.—May 19, 2023—Space Florida, the state’s aerospace finance and development authority, released the following statement on the selection of Blue Origin as a lunar lander partner for the Artemis V moon mission. The below statement is attributed to Frank DiBello, president and CEO for Space Florida.

“We congratulate Blue Origin for this incredible achievement and their unwavering commitment to advancing space exploration. Today’s news represents an extraordinary opportunity to demonstrate their remarkable capabilities and fulfill NASA’s ambitious goal of sustainable lunar exploration.

“This is particularly exciting for Florida as our state continues to benefit significantly from the increased investment, job creation, and enhanced technological infrastructure that Blue Origin’s ongoing growth has enabled. As we continue to create a commercial space ecosystem in the state that supports the entire space supply chain, Florida further solidifies our position as the leading enabler for a global space economy and the gateway to space.
