In addition to the opportunity to present before an audience of active equity investors, selected and eligible presenting companies will be considered for the Accelerating Innovation (AI) Award offered by Space Florida, a cash prize totaling $100,000.
This event is an opportunity to broaden the spectrum of early stage, Florida-based aerospace and aviation companies and entrepreneurs, (as well as non–Florida entities with commitments to relocate), while engaging the industry with the Florida Venture Forum investment community, including private equity, venture capital and angel investors.
L3 Harris, Cherry Bekaert, OneWeb Satellites and Haskell will also be partnering to contribute to the success of this event.
“Space Florida looks forward to another capital accelerator event with Florida Venture Forum and our sponsors, Cherry Bekaert, Haskell, L3 Harris and OneWeb Satellites,” said Space Florida President and CEO Frank DiBello. “Our first Florida Aerospace Capital Forum was tremendously successful in helping to expand not only the capital community but also further develop our State’s thriving aerospace industry. Thanks to Florida Venture Forum for continuing to support these efforts.”
“The Florida Venture Forum is extremely pleased to once again partner with Space Florida to feature dynamic, cutting edge Florida companies with technologies and services that will help propel Florida’s aerospace industry to new heights,” said Kevin Burgoyne, the Forum’s President and CEO. “Last year’s inaugural event was such a success that holding it again was a no brainer. We are particularly grateful for the sponsorship and support of so many major industry players, who are at the forefront of one of Florida’s fastest growing industries.”
Sensatek Propulsion Technologies, Inc. (Daytona Beach), was a winner at the 2018 Florida Aerospace Capital Forum.
“The Florida Aerospace Capital Forum and prize money from Space Florida benefited Sensatek in that we were able to create prototypes of our wireless sensors for extreme environments,” said Reamonn Soto, CEO of Sensatek Propulsion Technology, Inc. “The prototypes helped us not only secure aerospace customers, but also close our Series Seed Financing Round.”
